違犯しないよう掟を申し付けていただければ、ありがたい仕合わせと存じます。
一昨々年中、御役所において厚く御理解をいただき、村方の和解を取り計らい、勤務方から平生の番方まで申し付けられましたが、とかく右等の始末のため、何分にも納得いかず、嘆かわしく存じます。何年にもわたり御吟味をなされ、御支配様の役目の御威光をしっかりと申し付けいただき、村方が平安になりますよう、ひとえにお願い申し上げます。以上

If you would kindly establish rules to prevent violations, it would be a most grateful circumstance.
In the year before last, we received generous understanding at the government office, village reconciliation was arranged, and duties from regular service to ordinary guard duties were assigned. However, due to the circumstances mentioned above, we cannot accept the situation in any way and find it lamentable. We humbly request that after years of investigation, you firmly establish the authority of your administrative role so that our village may achieve peace. The above concludes our petition.
