現代語訳

『地錦抄』に曰く
　　濱葍子苗（ハマヒルカホ）

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　丁亥五月十一日　真意図

　　　　『大和本草』に「皷子花（つづみばなこ）に
　　　　二種あり。一種は葉が丸く
　　　　蔓が短い」と言うもの、これがそれである。
　　　　『本草』には別に載せられていない。また、
　　　　もう一種、千重咲き（八重咲き）のあるものを
　　　　「纏枝牡丹（てんしぼたん）」と呼ぶ。この者は
　　　　いまだ見たことがない。

英語訳

The "Chikinsho" states:
　　Hamabirukaho (濱葍子苗, Beach Morning Glory)

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　Drawn from life with faithful intent, 11th day of the 5th month, Year of the Boar (Hinoto-I)

　　　　In the "Yamato Honzō," it is written that the Koshibana (皷子花)
　　　　has two varieties. One variety has round leaves
　　　　and short vines — this is that variety.
　　　　It is not listed separately in the "Honzō" (Chinese Materia Medica).
　　　　The other variety, which has double-layered blossoms (thousand-petaled),
　　　　is called "Tenshi Botan" (纏枝牡丹, Twining-branch Peony).
　　　　This variety I have not yet seen.
