葉平ラナラズ是ヲ岡海苔ト云冬葵子共云
真物ノ者平葉ニシテ縮面ナク光沢アリ其子
入＿レ薬又一種 冬葵（カンアフヒ）ト云者アリ牡蘅二葉葵
ノ属ナリ冬葵子ハ武州神奈川街道往生
々多ク生ス岡海苔草ハ無之

十二日に草舎園中において
実物を写す
世間では冬葵子に二種類あるという。一種は葉に縮れ面があり、
葉が平らでない。これを岡海苔という。冬葵子とも言う。
真物は平らな葉で縮れ面がなく光沢がある。その種子は
薬に用いる。また一種、冬葵（カンアオイ）という者がある。牡蘅や二葉葵の
仲間である。冬葵子は武蔵国神奈川街道の往生寺に
多く生育する。岡海苔草はそこにはない。

Common people say there are two types of winter mallow seeds. One type has wrinkled surfaces on the leaves,
and the leaves are not flat. This is called okanori (land laver). It is also called winter mallow seed.
The genuine variety has flat leaves without wrinkled surfaces and has a glossy appearance. Its seeds are
used in medicine. There is also another type called winter mallow (kan-aoi). It belongs to the family of mokō and futaba-aoi.
Winter mallow seeds grow abundantly along the Kanagawa highway in Musashi Province near Ōjōji temple.
The okanori grass is not found there.
