【シホデ（牛尾菜）】
『救荒本草』に曰く：
牛尾菜（シホデ）
二種あり。また細竹葉のものもある。往々にして武州平塚の山中の崖に生ずる。
ある人はこれを「浜蔓（ハマカヅラ）」と称す。

In the "Jiuhuang Bencao" (Famine Relief Herbal) it states:
Niuweicai (Shiode)
There are two varieties, and there is also one with slender bamboo-like leaves. These are often found growing on cliffs in the mountains of Hiratsuka in Musashino Province (Musashi Province).
Some people call this plant "Hamakadzura" (Beach Vine).
