上方（関西地方）では大変な被害となり、修理などで船が滞留し、非常に時間を取られ、別の船の件も大坂表で同様の状況になっております。そのため日向国の船のうち、こちらの輸送分として予定していた二艘に軍事用の大量の荷物を積んで鹿児島回りで運ぶよう、留守居役の方々から急遽命じられました。このような大混乱で予想外の事態となり、せっかくお約束した白炭の件で間違いが生じてしまっては申し訳が立たず、特に心配しております。
精一杯手配をいたしまして、すでに先だって三艘は赤江を出帆し、急いで佐賀へ到着することでしょう。また三艘も当月末から来月初めの間に赤江を出帆させるよう手配いたします。昨冬お掛け合いを申し上げました数量より、今回は二千四、五百俵ほど多くなる旨を、今朝高岡の勘定場から連絡がありました。
このような船の手配で、長兵衛なども赤江での船の出帆を見届けて帰り、肥前の港へ行く予定だとも連絡してきておりますので、貴公様におかれましても今度は当地まで
