【右頁 上】
佐野村で源左衛門の古跡を守る与之兵衛は、昔に変わらず心よく暮らしている。藤内左衛門がこの所へやって来て逗留し、様々なご馳走になる。「最明寺殿の時分には鉢の木を焚くべし、粟の飯を差し上げたが、それに引き換え夏のことなので萱の木を焚き、山川の珍物でもてなします。」
「さてさて、常世が時とは違い、きついご馳走でございます。」

Yonohyōe, who guards the historic site of Genzaemon in Sano village, lives pleasantly as in the old days. Tōnai Zaemon comes to this place and stays, receiving various hospitality. "In the time of Saimyōji-dono, we should burn potted trees and served millet rice, but in contrast, since it is summer, we burn miscanthus wood and entertain with delicacies from mountains and rivers."
"Well, well, this is quite different from Tokoyo's time - what fine hospitality this is."
