『大地震大津波 末代噺の種』
【上段】
土佐
甲浦十三里の間、津波で流される。
坂井・飯群・鯛の浜村より徳島まで二里ほど、二尺程ずつ地割れし、牛馬が落ち込んで死ぬ。
阿波徳島
大揺れで人家が倒れ出火となる。通り町一丁目より三丁目まで、八百屋町・中町・紀伊国町・新町・紙屋町あたり・裏筋残らず、牢が浜小路まで、屋敷数軒、町家千二三百軒が焼失。
【下段】
讃岐高松
大揺れで人家の過半が崩れる。
丸亀は少し緩やかだったが、人家の損傷は多い。
豊前小倉
大地震、五日申の刻よりなお一層激しく、市中大混雑。夜中に五六度揺れ、七日朝また大揺れで人家が崩れ損じ、おびただしい。
肥前・肥後・筑前
右同様。
豊後鶴崎
大揺れで人家の過半がつぶれ、死人数知れず。府内では人家四百軒余りが崩れ、死人・負傷者数知れず。
なお中国路の国々も地震甚だしかったが、格別のことはないため、ここでは省略する。

Tosa Province
The area of thirteen ri from Kannoura was swept away by tsunami.
From Sakai, Iikōri, and Tainohama village to Tokushima, about two ri experienced ground fissures of about two shaku each, causing cattle and horses to fall in and die.
Awa Tokushima
Great shaking caused houses to collapse and fires to break out. From Tōri-chō 1st to 3rd district, Yaoya-chō, Naka-chō, Kii-no-kuni-chō, Shin-chō, Kamiya-chō area, all back streets, up to Rōgahama lane - several mansion compounds and 1,200-1,300 townhouses were burned down.

Sanuki Takamatsu
Great shaking caused more than half of the houses to collapse.
Marugame experienced gentler shaking, but there was much damage to houses.
Buzen Kokura
Great earthquake. From the hour of the monkey on the 5th, it became even more severe, causing great confusion in the city. It shook five or six times during the night, and on the morning of the 7th, there was another great shake that caused tremendous collapse and damage to houses.
Hizen, Higo, Chikuzen
Same as above.
Bungo Tsurusaki
Great shaking caused more than half of the houses to collapse, with countless deaths. In Funai, over 400 houses collapsed with countless deaths and injuries.
The provinces along the Chūgoku road also experienced severe earthquakes, but since there were no particular incidents, they are omitted here.
