椰子・檳榔・梨・柘榴・橙・柑橘に似た品物もあり、見慣れない果物もよくあります。楊梅・柿・蜜柑・梨の類は見かけません。
一、穀物はトウモロコシ・黍が非常に沢山あり、小麦並びに大麦に似た品で少し粒の大きな物もあります。また塩豆に似ていて粒の大きさが図のような○豆を沢山作っています。米はこの所で頂いていますが、作っている所は見ていません。この国の内で沢山に作っている所があると聞いています。麦並びに大豆は見かけません。すべて作物に肥料等は一切施しません。

一、甘蔗は日本と同様で沢山に植え付けて砂糖を作ります。なお甘草を絞ってその汁で焼酎を取る様子だと聞いています。なお砂糖の製法は見ていません。
一、葡萄で酒並びに焼酎を取るそうです。さらに椰子でも焼酎を取ると聞いています。
一、塩は暖国故でしょうか、浜辺で自然に凝り固まっており、それを割り取って持ち帰り使用します。なお割り取る固まりは水晶のようです。

There are also varieties resembling coconuts, betel nuts, pears, pomegranates, bitter oranges, and citrus fruits, and there are many unfamiliar fruits as well. I do not see varieties like bayberries, persimmons, mandarin oranges, or pears.
First, regarding grains, there is an abundance of corn and millet, and there are also varieties resembling wheat and barley with somewhat larger grains. There are also beans resembling salted beans with grain size as shown in the diagram ○, which are grown in large quantities. Rice is provided here, but I have not seen where it is cultivated. First, sugar cane is the same as in Japan, planted abundantly to make sugar. I have heard that they also squeeze sweet grass and use that juice to make shochu (distilled liquor). However, I have not observed the sugar manufacturing process.
First, I hear that they make sake and shochu from grapes, and also make shochu from coconuts.
