現代語訳
村の百姓たちが集まって古い寺へやって来た。
こうして善僧は古寺の執心の化け物を悟りの歌によって成仏させ、つつがなく一人夜を明かした。

英語訳
The villagers gathered and came to the old temple.
Thus the virtuous monk used enlightened poetry to help the obsessed spirits of the old temple achieve Buddhahood, and safely spent the night alone.
