幸一【人名＝作者】爰にまた子孫に語る事ありわ□【「れ」か】
幼年のひより今此御開帳まて其数覚て
四度におよへりその度毎に町〳〵の
奉納寄附のしな〳〵ある事先例たりと
いへとも家毎に建連ね【つらね】たる高張ちやうちん
なりしも敢て一やうといふにもあらさりしを
近来取分て何品によらす憍慢におし移
花車風流を専要とする事言語に
絶たり今此大災を受財寶損亡多し

現代語訳

【右丁】
これは皆、子孫への愛情に溺れるところの腹皮（身内びいき）と、読者の方々は笑いを止めたまえ。

【左丁】
幸一（作者）がここにまた子孫に語ることがあれ。幼年の日より今この御開帳まで、その回数を覚えて四度に及べり。その度ごとに町々の奉納寄附の品々があることは先例であるといえども、家ごとに建て連ねた高張提灯なりしも、敢えて一様というにもあらざりしを、近来取り分けて何品によらず驕慢に押し移り、花車風流を専要とすることは言語に絶えたり。今この大災を受け、財宝損亡多し。

Kōichi (the author) has something more to tell his descendants here. From my childhood days until this current temple opening ceremony, I have counted four such occasions. Each time, there were various offerings and donations from each neighborhood, which was customary. However, the tall paper lanterns erected by each household were never uniform in style. In recent years, regardless of what items were involved, everything has shifted toward ostentation and extravagance, with ornate festival floats and elaborate displays becoming the main focus - this is beyond description. Now, having suffered this great disaster, many treasures and wealth have been lost.
