十一月朔日、八幡宮が出雲の国より帰り給い、鎌倉中の有様を御覧になって、大いに驚き給った。

神々を詮議なさったところ、通う神である屁ひりの神、疱瘡の神、痔の神が参会しなければ、早速屁ひりの神を捕らえて御詮議があった。正直な神なので、ありのままに白状に及んだ。
八幡宮は甚だ怒り給い、愛宕山の太郎坊次郎坊を召され、「貧乏神をはじめ、一身の神々を残らず攫い取るべし」とお命じになった。

When the gods were deliberated upon, the attending gods - the god of flatulence, the god of smallpox, and the god of hemorrhoids - were required to participate. The god of flatulence was immediately captured and interrogated. Being an honest god, he confessed everything truthfully.
Hachiman was extremely angered and summoned Tarobo and Jirobo of Mount Atago, commanding them: "You must capture and remove all the gods of individual ailments, starting with the god of poverty."
