一 その後、老中の若狭守殿・能登守殿へお礼のため回り勤めた際の口上書は左の通り
私は今日御鷹の雁を拝領し、ありがたい仕合せと存じます。右のお礼について、病気のため名代をもって申し上げます

1. Having completed the above procedure, since it was done through a representative, I did not attend the formal thanks ceremony but went directly with Lord Suruga to the chamber and then withdrew from there.
1. After that, I made courtesy calls to the Senior Councilors Lord Wakasa-no-kami and Lord Noto-no-kami to express gratitude. The verbal statement was as follows:
I have today received the honor of being granted hawks and wild geese, which I consider a most grateful fortune. Regarding this expression of thanks, due to illness I am conveying this through my representative.
