京都も五月節句ニハ綿入着用之由同所伊せ
屋利衛門ゟ申来ル紅花も当春已来不景気ニ

現代語訳
京都も五月節句には綿入れを着用している由、同所伊勢屋利衛門より申し来る。紅花も当春以来不景気にて十両方も下落いたし居り、その上紀州播州辺にて近年多分に出来、当年は千駄余りも出来申すべしと申し来た事。

Kyoto also wears padded clothing during the May festival, as reported by Iseya Riemon from that place. Safflower has also been in recession since this spring, dropping by about ten ryō, and furthermore, around Kishū and Banshū provinces, there has been abundant production in recent years, and this year they say over a thousand loads can be produced.
