正月（年徳明の方：いねの間、万事良し）
元日（寅の日） 朝より極めて快晴で寒気が殊の外強い。（寒暖計朝五時頃を示す：二十四度）朝、辰巳の方（南東）に薄い横雲が少しあり。終日穏やかで九ツ過ぎ（正午過ぎ）より少し暖気の風となる。夜に入って曇る。
二日 朝曇る。あられが降るがすぐ止む。折々小雪が降る。（二十九度）八ツ時（午後二時頃）より止む。夜に入って降る。
三日 宵より明け方まで雪が降る。五ツ過ぎ（午前九時過ぎ）より快晴。夜中雪が降る。（二十七度）

(Thermometer reading around 5 AM: 24 degrees) In the morning, thin horizontal clouds in the southeast direction. Calm throughout the day, with slightly warm winds after nine o'clock (past noon). Becomes cloudy in the evening.
2nd Day: Cloudy morning. Hail falls but stops immediately. Occasional light snow. (29 degrees) Stops from eight o'clock (around 2 PM). Falls again in the evening.
3rd Day: Snow falls from evening until dawn. Clear skies from after five o'clock (past 9 AM). Snow falls during the night. (27 degrees)
