五日 朝曇り五つ過ぎより照り立つ暑気強
《朝七十六度｜昼八十八度》し。漸々雨三日、本来の気候なり。
六日 朝曇り五つ時より照り立つ叢雲暑
《昼八十七度》気南風強し夕方風止む。
昨夜九つ時、常葉川岸通り根本中程にて男二
十六、七歳、女三十一、二歳位、川越藩中の嫁いだ女と召し使いの
中間と不義があり、当四月中立ち退き根本に住居致し
居た所、両人を川越より尋ね参り首を切り落とし
たとのこと。

Last night at 9 o'clock, on Tsuneha riverside road in the middle of Nemoto area, a man aged
twenty-six or seven and a woman aged thirty-one or two, who was a married woman from Kawagoe domain and her servant
attendant committed adultery. They had been expelled this past April and were living in Nemoto,
when people came searching from Kawagoe and beheaded
