御対顔の儀を仰せ進められ候に付き、同二十三日平川口より御登城遊ばされ候

御対顔遊ばされ、
御内願の趣、御拠り所無き筋に思し召され、海岸防御並びに
御軍制御改正等の儀、
御免仰せ出だされ、
御懇ろの上意を以て
御手ずから御指し、御脇指を御拝領遊ばされ、御控え所に
おいても御老中御使い、

where in the audience chamber
he was granted an audience,
His private petition was deemed to have reasonable grounds, and regarding coastal defense and
military system reforms,
exemption was granted,
with gracious imperial favor
he personally received a sword and short sword as gifts, and in the waiting room
the Rōjū's messenger also
conveyed gracious imperial favor, and sake, soup, sweets, and tea were served
