江戸市中え御触出之写
豆州下田表在留之亜墨利加官吏儀国書持参
江戸参上之儀相願候處右ハ寛永以前英吉利
人等度々御目見え被 仰付候先蹤も有之但
条約為取替相済候国々使節ハ都府え罷越候
儀万国普通常例之趣ニ付近々当地え被 召
寄登 城拝礼被 仰付との御沙汰ニ付此段
為心得相達候
右之趣向々え可被達候

豆州下田表在留の亜墨利加官吏の儀、国書持参
江戸参上の儀相願い候ところ、右は寛永以前英吉利
人等度々御目見え仰せ付けられ候先例もこれ有り、ただし
条約取り替えのため相済み候国々の使節は都府へ罷り越し候
儀、万国普通常例の趣きにつき、近々当地へ召し
寄せ登城拝礼仰せ付けらるるとの御沙汰につき、この段
心得のため相達し候
右の趣き向々へ達すべく候
