一行粧の見（み）物（もの）は琉王／楽（がく）童（どう）子（じ）その外一躰ことなる風儀めつら
しき衣服楽器の音声を要とす文化三寅としの
来朝より当辰としまて廿七年目の来朝にてまた
いつのよに行粧を見んもはかりかたく実に近代の
粧（そう）観（くわん）なりよつて此本を持したらんには一時行列のみみたらん
人にはなか〳〵まさるへくはた見し人のもたらんにはいよ〳〵
其くわしきにいたるへきものなり
一行列は海陸数百里の道中ゆへ少しつゝの増減前後あり
このほんやんことなき手筋をもつてくわしく
相たゝし本格の行列をしるす

現代語訳
一、行装の見物は琉球王、楽童子、その他一体異なる風儀、珍しい
衣服、楽器の音色を要とする。文化三年寅年の
来朝より当辰年まで二十七年目の来朝にて、また
いつの世に行装を見ることができるかも分からず、実に近代の
壮観なり。よってこの本を持参したならば、一時の行列のみ見たであろう
人には大いに勝るであろうし、また見た人が持つならばますます
その詳細に至るべきものなり。
一、行列は海陸数百里の道中ゆえ少しずつの増減前後あり。
この本は確かな手筋をもって詳しく
相対し、本格の行列を記す。

1. The spectacle of the procession centers on the Ryukyu King, gaku-dōji (court musicians), and others with entirely different customs, unusual
clothing, and the sounds of musical instruments. From the imperial visit in Bunka 3rd year (Year of the Tiger)
to this current Year of the Dragon, this is the 27th year since that visit, and
when we might see such a procession again in the future is uncertain - it is truly a magnificent sight of recent times.
Therefore, if one possesses this book, it will greatly surpass what those who only saw the procession momentarily experienced,
and for those who did witness it, possessing this will lead them to even greater detail.
1. The procession covers several hundred ri by sea and land, so there are slight increases and decreases along the way.
