[He was] engaged/retained as a permanent official (jōban) of the Kaimaijo (rice transport office) in the role of sairyō (supervisor/manager).
1. In the 9th month of the same year [Meiwa 2, 1765]: He was ordered to undertake travel duties (dōchū-kin), and was granted a travel expense allowance (okitte-kin) of 2 ryō.
2. In the 11th month of the same year: Assigned to duties at the Motojiméjo (general accounting/administrative office), he accompanied Kaneko Chūta and traveled up to Edo. He returned in the 2nd month of the following Year of the Dog (Inu), but was promptly sent back again in the 3rd month, and finally returned in the 1st month of the following Year of the Boar (I).
3. In the 2nd month of the 4th year [Meiwa 4, 1767], Year of the Boar: He was relieved of miscellaneous duties and appointed as an assistant to the accounting office (go-kanjō tetsudai), serving until the 4th month of the same year.
4. In the 4th month of the same year: He was ordered to undertake official business regarding the advance payment (saki-nōkin) collection for the Sendai region, traveled there, and returned in the 5th month of the same year.

1. In the 6th month of the same year: He was appointed as an assistant scribe (monokaki tetsudai) at the Motojimejo, as well as an assistant for the distribution of writing supplies (brush, ink, and paper — fude-sumi-kami ko-watashikata), serving until the 11th month of the same year.
2. In the 11th month of the same year: He was appointed as an accounting assistant (go-kanjō tetsudai) at the Kaimaijo (rice transport office), serving until the 9th month of Meiwa 6 (1769), Year of the Ox, and was granted an annual stipend increase of 2 bu each year.
3. In the 12th month of Meiwa 5 (1768), Year of the Rat: Due to his diligent service, he was granted permission to wear formal clothing (jōge-menkyo) and appointed as a full/permanent sairyō (hon-sairyō — chief supervisor).
4. In the 9th month of Meiwa 6 (1769), Year of the Ox: He was seconded to the Town Office (Machi-yakusho) to assist with the accounting duties of the Gisōkata (charitable granary office), serving there until the 11th month of the same year.
