〇桔梗（ききやう）の仕様
はなびらくりにて うてなくわゐにて上のかたを
五まいこしらへ づのごとくかハとり下を
水につけをく かハのこし五ところへ
くハゐ づのごとく切かけをして
右切かけの所へはなびらをさしこミたけくぎにてとめる
つぼミもくハゐにてうてなを
こしらへつぼミもくりかくハゐ たけにてさしこむ
にて のづのご ハ葉よめな ぢくは

現代語訳
○芥子の花仕様
芥子の実
慈姑にてこのように作る。もっとも慈姑の皮の青いものを水粉で磨るがよい。
花びらの図
栗か慈姑にて作る。非常に薄く刻む。もっとも数は四枚。
丸く背をつけて剥く
このとおり吹き付ける。竹にて軸を長く作る。
葉には芥子花なくば大根の葉にて作る。
蕾は豆慈姑。これで角のように作り、割れた所へ花びらの小さいようなものを少し押し込んで、軸の竹も蛇腹の綿糸で巻く。
○紅葉の仕様
このように大根などにて作って、薄く薄く刻んで、紅または梔子の汁にて色取り、細い針金にてこの所を刺し、紅葉の枝へも欅の幅広い糸にて針金を巻きつける。枝をよく作る。葉の大小、数などは枝の見計らいにする。

○桔梗の仕様
花びらは栗にて五枚作り、水につけて置く。台座は慈姑にて上の方を図のように皮取り、下を皮のこし、五か所へ図のように切りかけをして。
右切りかけの所へ花びらを差し込み、竹釘にて止める。蕾も慈姑にて台座を作り、蕾も栗か慈姑にて図のように。葉はよめななりとも何にても似たものにて。軸は竹、針金も蛇腹の綿糸を使うなり。

花の匂いは竹釘を少し中へ入れて刺すべし。

Poppy Seeds

Make with daikon radish etc. as shown, cut very thinly, color with red or gardenia juice, pierce these spots with thin wire, and wrap wire onto maple branches with wide zelkova thread. Make branches well. The size and number of leaves depend on the appearance of the branches.

○Bellflower Instructions
Make five petals with chestnuts and soak in water. For the base, use arrowhead tubers, peel the skin from the top as shown in the diagram, leave the skin on the bottom, and make cuts in five places as shown in the diagram.
Insert petals into the right cut sections and secure with bamboo pegs. Also make bud bases with arrowhead tubers, and make buds with chestnuts or arrowhead tubers as shown in the diagram. For leaves, use asters or anything similar. Use bamboo for stems, and zigzag cotton thread for wire.
