花は全て梢より次第に小さくする。
細い丸竹の青いものに蔓を巻いて付ける。
白花は栗のまま、藤色は紫と青花にて彩色

○杜若の仕様
大根にて角のごとく花びら三枚作り、少し丸く背をつけて剥き、水へ入れて置く。
また大根にて角のごとく三角に作り、三方を半分ほど剥きかける。次の角のごとし。
この中の三角の芯残る
上の図の中に残る芯、左のごとし。このあたりより葉は切り離さずにして、またこのごとく作り直す。
次見るべし
上の四の角の芯を三方剥きかけ、この角のごとくなる。この角のごとくなるをまた三方の、このところを少し切りかけて、そのところへ前に花びらを。もっとも三方斜上に吹き付くる。左のごとくなる。
また蕾のもの。これも大根にて作り、台座は花と同じもので作る。軸にする竹へも蛇の腹の綿糸にて巻き付け、すぐに軸も巻く。
○葉は杜若の葉なくば菖蒲にても、または何にても似たるもので作る。

○Iris Instructions
Make three petals with daikon radish in angular shapes, curve them slightly with rounded backs, peel and soak in water.
Also make triangular shapes with daikon radish as shown in the diagram, peel about halfway on three sides. Like the following diagram.

The core remaining in the center of the upper diagram, as shown on the left. From around here, do not cut the leaves off, but remake as shown.

Peel the core of the fourth angle above on three sides to make it like this angle. For what becomes like this angle, cut slightly into the three sides at these places, and place the petals made earlier into those spots. Especially attach them blowing upward on three diagonal sides. It becomes as shown on the left.
Also for buds. Make these also with daikon radish, and make the base with the same material as the flowers. Wrap the bamboo stem with zigzag cotton thread, and wrap the stem immediately as well.
○For leaves, if iris leaves are unavailable, use sweet flag or anything similar.
White flowers remain the natural color of daikon radish or sweet potato.
