その二
十八日の馬の頭が終わると、翌十九日は礼馬といって、町ごとに様々な工夫を凝らし、互いに負けじと新奇な趣向を出して、町々を終日歩き回る。五十人、百人、二百人と町の大小によって人数に多少がある。その面白さは茶番狂言の大掛かりなもので ある。今その一つを図して大意を示す。

Part Two
After the horse heads of the 18th day are finished, the following 19th day is called "礼馬" (ceremonial horses). Each town devises various elaborate schemes, competing with one another to present novel and ingenious displays, parading through the towns all day long. There are fifty, one hundred, or two hundred participants, with the numbers varying according to the size of each town. The amusing spectacle resembles a large-scale theatrical farce. Now I shall illustrate one example to show the general idea.
