かれとくはへ【加へ】もはふき【省き】もすへきことを
おほらかにしなして板にゑらせたるなり
かくいふは植松茂岳

現代語訳
彼らに加えるべきことも省くべきことも
おおらかに仕上げて版木に彫らせたのである。
このように言うのは植松茂岳である。
