義朝公尊霊供養の図
文治六年十月二十五日丙午（東鑑より）
尾張国の御家人須細治部大夫為基を案内者として、当国野間庄に到り、故左典厩（源義朝）の廟堂を拝した。（割書：平治の乱の時、この場所に葬ったという）この墳墓は荊棘に覆われ、薜蘿も払われていない有様であったため、日頃から関東において遥かに懐を遣わしていたところ、仏閣は扉を開き、荘厳な装いで目を遮るばかりで、僧衆が座を構えて転経の声が耳に満ちている。二品（頼朝）はこれを怪しみ、凝氷を解くため濫觴を尋ねられたところ、前廷尉康頼入道が国を守っていた時より、水田三十町を寄付して、以降一つの伽藍を建立して菩提を祈っているという。（割書：云々）

6th year of Bunji, 10th month, 25th day, hinoe-uma (from the Azuma Kagami)
Using Susai Jibu-no-Taifu Tamemoto, a retainer from Owari Province, as a guide, [Yoritomo] arrived at Noma-no-sho in this province and paid respects at the shrine hall of the late Satyakura (Minamoto no Yoshitomo). (Marginal note: It is said he was buried in this place during the Heiji Disturbance) This tomb had been covered with thorns and brambles, and the creeping vines had not been cleared away. For this reason, he had long sent offerings from afar in the Kanto region. Now the Buddhist hall opened its doors, and the magnificent decorations dazzled the eyes, while monks arranged themselves in seats and the sound of sutra chanting filled the ears. The Second Rank (Yoritomo) found this strange, and when he inquired into the origins to resolve his puzzlement, he learned that since the time when the former Prison Governor Yasuyori Nyudo governed the province, thirty cho of rice fields had been donated, and thereafter a temple complex had been built to pray for [Yoshitomo's] enlightenment.
