めば数十百里の名山蒼海も一 瞬（しゆん）に尽きて風景いと勝れたれど
当山は如来山と双峰両立程ちかければ如来山の記及び画図に
ゆづりて略しぬ府下の文人藻客此地に至らぬはなし故に当
寺詩哥連俳の新古題辞を蔵する事甚多し

《割書：である。右に曲がって下ると上懸村である。北に上がって寺を得る。観音寺と言う。これは私が幼時に読書をした所である。清浄幽寂で、塵垢が至らず、春夏の月には、都の人士が》
《割書：多く遊覧する。門を出て左に行くこと一里余りを「平島村」と言う。私の生まれた所である。右に曲がって下り、右は崖、左は谷を「胴坂」と言う。坂を下ると即ち海である。汀に沿って北へ一里余り行くと赤い》
《割書：崖を得る。「一の懸」と言う。潮が至ると通行できない。右手の巌上から行く。崖の前百余歩、馬の背のようなものを「高座石」と言う。潮が至ると没する。源義朝の死の時、その武士》
《割書：金王が馬を跳ばせて逃げたが、ここに至って馬が石と化した。これがその石である》

《Indeed. Turning right and going down, one reaches Uwakake Village. Going north upward, one finds a temple called Kannon-ji. This is where I studied in my youth. Pure, quiet, and secluded, untouched by dust and dirt, in spring and summer months, people from the capital》
《often come to visit. Going left from the gate for about a ri, there is "Hirashima Village" - where I was born. Turning right and going down, with cliffs on the right and valley on the left, is called "Dōsaka." Going down the slope, one immediately reaches the sea. Following the shore north for about a ri, one finds red》
《cliffs called "Ichi-no-kake." When the tide comes in, it becomes impassable. One must go along the top of the rocks on the right. Daihizan Kannon-ji Temple《Located in the same village, Shingon sect, branch temple of Shinpuku-ji in Ōsu,府下》Principal Image《Shō Kannon》The temple grounds are situated atop sea cliffs several dozen fathoms high, with the hall built at the very peak. Looking down from the hall, ancient pine and cedar trees bend forward showing their treetops, drifting clouds and flying birds constantly pass beneath one's feet, and gazing far to the southwest, famous mountains and blue seas extending for hundreds of ri can be taken in at a glance - the scenery is truly magnificent. However, since this mountain stands as twin peaks alongside Nyorai Mountain quite nearby, I defer to the description and illustrations of Nyorai Mountain and omit details here. There are no literary figures or poets from the capital who have not visited this place, so this temple houses a great many inscriptions of poetry, linked verse, and haiku, both old and new.

《Blue waves stretch ten thousand ri, distant peaks' shadows rise and fall. This scenic spot towers high, swallowing the sea, the empty hall soars bridging the peaks.
