あらはれて旅店に人しづまりぬれば草の枕をしめて萱津
の宿にとまりぬと見え名所方角抄に萱津原 下（おり）津より
一里計り南也俗にかいづの宿といふ也と見えて古駅なり
むかし京より東路に下る海道は墨俣（すのまた）川および玉￣ノ井黒
田一ノ宮下津萱津を経て古渡熱田鳴海夫より二（ふた）
村山の麓（ふもと）を過て三河の八橋へ出し也

現代語訳
術を一時中止し、しばらくご本復をお待ちになり、それゆえに御剣を賜り、京兆が御馬を引かせて給うと（云々）
十一日丁亥晴れ。今日は萱津宿にご逗留になった。昨夜のご不例の余気によるものである。その後、両河の浮橋を修理した（云々）
『貞応海道記』に「幽かな月の景色が現れて、旅店に人が静まったので、草の枕を敷いて萱津の宿に泊まった」と見える。『名所方角抄』に「萱津原は下津より一里ほど南である。俗に『かいづの宿』という」と見えて、古い宿場町である。
昔、京都から東路に下る海道は、墨俣川および玉井、黒田、一ノ宮、下津、萱津を経て古渡、熱田、鳴海、それから二村山の麓を過ぎて三河の八橋へ出たのである。

蕭条たる村雨、新愁に滴り、連屋眠らず夜まさに脩まる。世上の繡衾香帳、客ついに桂玉の心頭に掛かるもの無し。

（尾張の国に京より下った男が語り合った相手がいたが、明日上洛しようとした時、死ぬほど辛く思われるので、行く気がしないと言ったところ）

英語訳
The technique was temporarily suspended, and after waiting briefly for recovery, a sword was bestowed, and the Kyōchō had the imperial horse led forward (and so forth).
Eleventh day, Dinghei, clear weather. Today there was a stay at Kayazu post station, due to the lingering effects of last night's indisposition. Afterwards, the floating bridges of both rivers were repaired (and so forth).
In the "Jōō Kaidō-ki" it appears: "The dim moonlight appeared, and when the people at the inn had settled down, I spread a grass pillow and stayed at Kayazu inn." In "Meisho Hōgaku-shō" it appears: "Kayazu Plain is about one ri south of Orizu. It is commonly called 'Kaizu inn'" - thus it is an ancient post station.
Long ago, the sea route descending eastward from Kyoto passed through Sunomata River, as well as Tamai, Kuroda, Ichinomiya, Shimotsu, and Kayazu, then proceeded to Furuwatari, Atsuta, Narumi, and from there passed the foot of Futamura Mountain to reach Yatsuhashi in Mikawa.
