英語訳

(Side note: Outside the lonely Zen gate stands a pavilion about a hundred feet high. Who is it that on a moonlit night whistles long, creating the voice of a phoenix?) (Side note: Fish-Viewing Bridge - Monk Rokunyo) (Side note: Throwing bait and tapping the railing, they are accustomed and not startled. In the shadow of the priest's robes, they come with heads aligned to greet. The heart is joyful and at ease, thinking of Master Zhuang. How could this not match the fame of Baosheng?) Isshin-zan Enchō-ji Temple (Side note: Located in Nishijō Village. A direct branch temple of the Eastern School of Honganji sect. Originally an ancient temple of the Tendai sect called Isshin-zan Gesshō-in, it was a large temple with sixteen sub-temples, but during the Ōnin War fires) (Side note: all the halls and corridors were completely reduced to ashes. However, during the Bunmei period, the monk Kyōei converted to the current sect, renamed it Isshin-zan Enchō-ji Temple, and rebuilt the halls. It has been fourteen generations since then, and recently new repairs have been added) (Side note: making it quite a magnificent Buddhist complex. This temple is particularly rich in scenic views, with the mountains of Kōjō, Kaetsu all visible at a glance, making the scenery especially fine) Main Buddha (Side note: Wooden statue of Amida Nyorai, created by Great Teacher Jikaku) Fujishima Shrine (Side note: Located in Akitake Village. Now called Fujishima Myōjin. Listed as Fujishima Shrine in the Engi Shinmei-shiki, and as Senior Third Rank Fujishima Tenjin in the Honkoku-chō) Tenkei-zan Kōsai-ji Temple (Side note: Located in Katsura Village. A branch temple of the Sōtō sect Tsushima Kōzen-ji. Built in the ninth year of Kakitsu, eighth month, with Tenshin Oshō as the founding priest. It displays a plaque written by Oda Yamato-no-kami Toshisada himself, and also) (Side note: temple lands were donated, and documents from successive generations are still preserved at the temple) Main Buddha (Side note: Seated statue of Shakyamuni) Sub-temple (Side note: Tōyō-ken, located within the temple grounds) Ifukube Tenjin Shrine (Side note: Located in Imugi Village. Now called Shichisha Myōjin. Listed in the Honkoku-chō as Senior Fourth Rank Lower Ifukube Tenjin, and the same collection mentions the divine name Ifukube, recording it as Shichisha of Toda-shō Imugi Village) (Side note: Myōjin. The same book notes that various texts do not record this one shrine, but the manuscript collection of Atsuta Nyohō-in records it. Also, in the Kōnomiya text it appears as Senior Fourth Rank Upper Ifukube Tenjin. Looking at the current state of the shrine, the grounds are extensive and the ancient trees are dense) (Side note: clearly indicating it is an ancient shrine beyond doubt, so following the collection's explanation, we temporarily identify this shrine as Ifukube) Kawaba Tenjin Shrine (Side note: Located in Kawabe Village. Now called Kasuga Daimyōjin. Listed in the Honkoku-chō as Senior Fourth Rank Lower Kawaba Tenjin, and in a manuscript of Kōnomiya from the second year of Genki as Senior Fourth Rank Upper Kawake Tenjin) (Side note: This is it.
