人の勢 都合（つがう）三千大船に乗連出けるが瀧川勢半分蟹
江の城へ難（なん）なく入にけり即一益も入城して柵（さく）等の事
はや〳〵申付んとせし処にいかなる者のしわざにか有けん
酒家（さかや）に入て放火（はうくわ）せしかば思はずも三十間ばかり焼出たり
其折節 家康卿は清洲の城におはしけるが此旨 注進（ちうしん）有

城に入るようにと約束した。そうして九鬼右馬允にこの旨を告げ知らせ、両人の勢力合わせて三千が大船に乗り連なって出発したが、滝川勢の半分は蟹江の城へ難なく入城した。即座に一益も入城して柵などの準備をすぐさま申し付けようとしたところ、いったい誰の仕業であったのか、酒屋に入って放火したため、思いがけず三十間ばかりが焼け出した。
その時、家康卿は清洲の城にいらしたが、この旨の注進があると同時に軍勢を出し、馬に鞭を打って急いで蟹江の城に押し寄せ、まず海の方を固めて城中へ滝川勢を入れないようにしたので、半分はまた大船に乗り移って鉄砲戦となった。こうして城を二重三重に取り囲み、その夜に柵を付け回し、十九日には櫓を上げて城中を見下ろし、弓と鉄砲を撃ち込んで射竦め、夜に入ると火矢を四方より射入れ、鯨波の声を上げ、鉄砲を子の方より始めて亥の方で撃ち納めたので、城からもまたそれに応じて応戦し、終夜のすさまじさであった。
