《割書：当社の夏季両日の大祭は世に知れ渡った壮観なもので、当国（尾張）は言うまでもなく、他国からの参詣人も多い中、関東地方の崇敬が特に厚く、必ずこの日を目指して大勢で参拝する。そのため当地の商家の過半数は旅籠屋となって旅客を宿泊させ、社家にも諸国の檀家や大々講中などが集まってくる》
《割書：錐を立てる場所もないほど込み合って宿泊している。それだけでなく、伊勢・三河・遠江の国々からも海路を経てここに至るため、天王川は数千艘の見物船で埋まるほどである。また堤の上には諸家の桟敷が所狭しと掛け渡され、水上・陸上の参拝者は稲や麻のように密集している。そこで社家の門前をはじめ数町の間に、名産の団扇や阿伽陀（薬）などの仮店を設け、参詣の帰路の土産としてこれを売っている。実にこの日は当地第一の賑わいで、言葉も筆も及ばないが、その万分の一を図に描いて観想の手がかりとするだけである》

Therefore, more than half of the merchant houses in this area become inns to accommodate travelers, and shrine priest families also host various provincial temple supporters and large pilgrimage groups}}
《Side note: They stay packed so tightly there isn't even room to stick an awl. Moreover, people also come here by sea routes from the provinces of Ise, Mikawa, and Tōtōmi, so the Tennōgawa River is filled with thousands of sightseeing boats. Also, on the embankments, viewing platforms of various families are erected everywhere without space to spare, and the crowds of pilgrims on water and land are as dense as rice and hemp plants. Therefore, temporary stalls selling famous local products such as fans and agata (medicine) are set up starting from in front of the shrine priests' gates for several blocks, selling these as souvenirs for the return journey from pilgrimage.
