物婦人に忠孝多く男子に勇義を備（そな）へたる事はひとへに 素盞嗚尊

現代語訳
《割書：その図の上に筆で書かせて多くの人に贈られたのは、その美名を遠方にまで知らせようとするためであったということである。事柄が多いので、その讃詞はここでは省略する。》
昔、天長六年六月に尾張国の孝女吉弥侯部長子に位階を進められたことが類聚国史に載せられているのをはじめとして、近世では海東郡八ツ屋村、当郡鳥ケ地村、鯏浦村の忠女・孝女、および愛智郡菱野村の孝婦りつ、知多郡古見村の忠女なつに至るまで、忠孝をもって称せられた者は挙げて数え難いほどである。
当国の人物は、婦人に忠孝が多く、男子に勇義を備えていることは、ひとえに素盞嗚尊・日本武尊の二尊が武勇の筆頭であり、その妃である稲田姫・宮酢姫の両姫が貞操の根本におられることによるものである。ともに当国の津島・熱田に鎮座されているので、このように優れた婦人たちが出現するのであって、まことに尊いことだと思われる。

Beginning with the ancient record in the Ruiju Kokushi of how in the sixth month of Tenchō 6, a court rank was advanced to the filial daughter Kimikobe no Chōshi of Owari Province, and continuing to recent times with the loyal and filial daughters of Yatsuya village in Kaitō district, Torigachi village in this district, and Uguira village, as well as the filial wife Ritsu of Hishino village in Aichi district and the loyal daughter Natsu of Komi village in Chita district—those praised for loyalty and filial piety are too numerous to count.
The fact that the people of this province—women possessing much loyalty and filial piety, and men endowed with courage and righteousness—is entirely due to the two deities Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Yamato-takeru-no-Mikoto being the foremost in martial valor, and their consorts, Princess Inada and Princess Miyasu, being the fundamental source of chastity. Since both are enshrined in Tsushima and Atsuta in this province, it is for this reason that such outstanding women have appeared, and this seems truly reverent and precious.
