八十浦の玉
天皇（すめろき）のしきます国の
安国（やすくに）をいよゝます〳〵
安国とことむけまし
て神なからかみさひ
います 東照（あつまてる）神の命（みこと）
の御影はや月日と共
にとこしへにかゝやきまし
て天（あめ）の下（した）四方（よも）の玉はし
おたひしく【注①】たぬし【注②】くあり
けり此神のめくみあま
ねく食国（をすくに）にみちたら
はし【注③】て長き世にけふの
日ことにその御たまいつ
きまつると人みなの御かけ
たふとみうたけつゝわさを
き【注④】しつゝ神ほきまつる
すめろきの大食国東てる
神のみことそしつめまし
けり
【注① おだひしく(穏ひしく)＝穏やかな感じである。】
【注② 「たのし(楽し)の「の」に当たる万葉仮名「努」などを「ぬ」とよみ誤って作られた語。江戸時代の国学者が多くこれを用いた。】
【注③ 足らはす＝「足らふ」の尊敬語。欠けたところなく整っておられる。】
【注④ わざをき＝神意をうかがい寄せるために、神前で種々の芸をする事。】

其一
四月十七日に
神祖の祭儀を観る
深田厚斎
厚斎遺稿より
子供たちがぞろぞろと早朝から城を出て
手のひらのように（平らな）街上に雨が上がったばかり
誰が知ろうか昔の戦乱の
事を、すべて恩恵の波に浸って
太平の世を観ている

千秋
八十浦の玉
天皇の治められる国の
安らかな国をいよいよますます
安らかな国であり続けるように
神でありながら神として
いらっしゃる東照神の命
の御影は月日と共に
永遠に輝きなされて
天下四方の美しい橋も
穏やかで楽しくある
この神の恵みが広く
食国に満ち溢れて
長い世にわたって今日の
日ことにその御霊を
敬い祭ると人々皆がその御影を
尊み歌い舞い神楽を
奉納しつつ神として祀り申し上げる
天皇の大いなる食国を東に照らす
神の命こそが統治なされて
いるのである

Children emerge from the castle in throngs at dawn
On the palm-like (flat) streets where rain has just cleared
Who would know of the past
Wars and conflicts, all bathed in waves of benevolence
Observing this age of great peace

Thousand Autumns
Jewel of Eighty Bays:
Of the peaceful country
ruled by our sovereign emperor,
may it become ever more
a peaceful country for eternity.
Though divine, the deity who resides
as a god, the Eastern Illuminating Divine Command's
sacred image together with the sun and moon
shines eternally,
and the beautiful bridges of the four directions under heaven
remain tranquil and joyful.
The blessings of this deity
spread widely throughout the realm,
filling it completely,
and throughout the long ages, especially on this day,
people revere and worship that sacred spirit,
all honoring that sacred image,
singing and dancing, performing kagura
while serving and enshrining the deity.
It is the Divine Command who illuminates the east
of the emperor's great realm
who truly rules.
