《割書：三世唱和に引く》
甲申の春、朝鮮国の信使が府下の性高院に宿泊した。私は命を受けて小相賓館にて、製述官南秋月および書記と共に唱和した。男武孫彦も同じく席右に侍した。秋月が筆を取って「三世一席」と書いた。それぞれが美しい詩篇を贈り合い、希代の珍事である。ああ、この言葉は不朽の栄光とすることができるであろう。そこでその詩を集めて一冊となし、「三世唱和」と題し、彫版師に命じて世に広めた。故にその語を序し、その端緒を弁ずるものである。

《Small print: Preface to "Three Generations' Poetry Exchange"》
In the spring of the year Kōshin, envoys from Korea lodged at Seikōin in the castle town. I received orders to join in poetry composition at the Shōsō Guest Hall together with the literary official Nam Chu-wol and secretaries. Danmu Sonhiko also attended, sitting to the right. Chu-wol took up his brush and wrote "Three Generations, One Gathering." Each person exchanged beautiful poems—a rare treasure of our time. Ah, these words can be considered an imperishable glory. Therefore, I collected these poems into one volume, titled "Three Generations' Poetry Exchange," and commissioned engravers to publish it for the world. Hence I preface these words to explain their beginning.
