【上段】
○ウズラ（鶉）はヒヨドリの大き
さほどで丸い形
をしている。全身に細かな
斑がある。赤褐色と黒褐色の二
種類がある。秋の終わりになる
とさえずる。人はこの声を
愛でて多く籠に入れ
て飼う。粟を好んで食べ
る。焼いて食べると五
臓を補い、体内を
強くする。
○トジュケイ（吐綬鶏）は大きさは鶏
のようで、頭はキジに似
ている。羽の色は黒黄色で
星のような模様がある。首筋に
袋があって肉質の飾りを収める。
天気がよく気持ちの良い時はこの
袋を伸ばして遊ぶ。
○サンジャク（山鵲）はカササギのよう
で色は黒く美しい模様
がある。くちばしは赤く尾が長く
て、遠くまで飛ぶことは
できない。

[Upper section]
○The Uzura (quail) is about the size
of a bulbul with a round shape.
Its entire body has fine
spots. There are two
varieties: reddish-brown and blackish-brown. At the end of autumn
it sings. People appreciate
this voice and often keep them
in cages. They prefer to eat
millet. When roasted and eaten, they
supplement the five
organs and strengthen the body.
○The Tojukei (turkey) is the size of a chicken.
Its head resembles
a pheasant. The feather color is black-yellow
with star-like patterns. It has a
pouch on its neck that contains a fleshy ornament.
When the weather is fine and pleasant, it
extends this pouch to play.
○The Sanjaku (mountain magpie) is like
a magpie but black in color with beautiful patterns.
Its beak is red and tail is long,
but it cannot
fly far distances.
