【上段】
○鶁（ムクトリ）は小ムクと言う。大きさはヒヨドリより小さく、頭が白く、背中に黒白の毛がある。秋の半ばに多く群れをなして渡ってくる。味は美味しい。
○椋鳥（ムクドリ）は大ムクと言う。小ムクより大きく、羽の色も異なる。夏秋の頃にやって来るが、群れにはならない。
○菊戴（キクイタダキ）は非常に小さい鳥である。全身が薄青色で、頭頂に黄色い毛がある。天気が良く暖かければ、頭頂の毛を開くと中から紅色の毛が出てくる。冬にやって来る鳥である。
○文鳥（ブンチョウ）はスズメほどの大きさがあり、羽色は黒く、頬に丸く白い毛がある。腹は白い。
○四十雀（シジュウカラ）はスズメより小さく、頭が黒く、頬は丸く白い。背中は薄青色で、腹は白く黒い毛がある。秋冬にやって来る。

○The Mukutori (small mukudori) is called "ko-muku." Its size is smaller than a bulbul, with a white head and black and white feathers on its back. In mid-autumn, many come in flocks. Its taste is delicious.
○The Mukudori (white-cheeked starling) is called "ō-muku" (large muku). It is larger than the small muku, and its feather colors are also different. It comes in summer and autumn but does not form flocks.
○The Kikuitadaki (goldcrest) is an extremely small bird. Its entire body is light blue, with yellow feathers on the crown. When the weather is fine and warm, if it opens the feathers on its crown, red feathers emerge from within. It is a bird that comes in winter.
