現代語訳
二十歳（未年）に会津へ赴き、叔父三郎兵衛の元で同居することになった。
一 正保四年亥年九月、御小姓に任命された。
一 承応二年巳年七月、日光へお供した。
一 同年九月、御上京の際にお供した。
一 明暦元年未年六月、元服を命じられた。
一 明暦三年酉年八月、御知行三百石を下賜され、御腰物番に任命された。
一 万治元年申年六月、御徒頭に任命された。
一 寛文十二年子年五月、叔父三郎兵衛が病死したが、嗣子がいなかったため、三郎兵衛の名跡を相続し、御知行千五百石を下賜された。ただし三郎兵衛の屋敷に住み、追って相応の屋敷が用意でき次第下賜する旨が申し渡された。
一 延宝元年丑年七月、御奏者番・御徒頭を免ぜられ、無役組に任命された。

At age twenty (year of the Sheep), he went to Aizu and came to live with his uncle Saburōbei.
1. In the 9th month of Shōhō 4, year of the Boar, he was appointed as a page (okoshō).
1. In the 7th month of Jōō 2, year of the Snake, he accompanied [his lord] to Nikkō.
1. In the 9th month of the same year, he accompanied [his lord] on the journey to Kyoto.
1. In the 6th month of Meireki 1, year of the Sheep, he was ordered to perform his coming-of-age ceremony (genpuku).
1. In the 8th month of Meireki 3, year of the Rooster, he was granted a fief of 300 koku and appointed as a sword bearer (okoshimono-ban).
1. In the 6th month of Manji 1, year of the Monkey, he was appointed as captain of foot soldiers (oashi-gashira).
1. In the 5th month of Kanbun 12, year of the Rat, his uncle Saburōbei died of illness. Since there was no heir, he inherited Saburōbei's family name and position, and was granted a fief of 1,500 koku. However, he was to reside in Saburōbei's mansion, and it was announced that an appropriate mansion would be granted to him when one became available.
