現代語訳
一 宝暦七年丑年六月 御家老職を仰せ付けられ、江戸表へ召されて仰せ付けられるはずであったが、当年の秋に勤番のため上ることになっているので、その前の期間も短く、その上会津において月番をも相勤めるのが然るべきと思し召しにより召されなかった。かつ持指物を御免許され、仲間並びに同心料を下賜される旨が仰せ出された。
一 同年十一月 輪光院様の御疱瘡中に辛労をした段が仰せ出され、御小袖と御羽織を下賜された。
一 同九年卯年五月 当年八月より一人で引き通し月番を相勤め辛労をした段が仰せ出され、御前において御羽織を下賜された。
一 同十年辰年五月 願いの通り当職を御免許され、内願の通り直隠居を仰せ付けられ、かつ数年精を出して宜しく相勤めた段が仰せ出された。
一 明和五年子年二月十三日 七十七歳にて病死。法名は光寂院殿明応玄顕居士。葬所は同上。
英語訳
1. In the 6th month of Hōreki 7, year of the Ox, he was appointed to the position of karo (chief retainer) and was to be summoned to Edo for the appointment, but was not summoned because it was thought appropriate for him to serve the monthly duty rotation (tsukiban) in Aizu, given that he would travel to Edo for guard duty (kinban) in the autumn of that year and the intervening period was short. Additionally, he was granted permission to use a personal standard (mochisashimono) and was given stipends for attendants and subordinates (dōshin).
1. In the 11th month of the same year, it was announced that he had worked diligently during Lord Rinkōin's smallpox illness, and he was granted a silk kimono (okosode) and a haori jacket.
1. In the 5th month of the same 9th year, year of the Rabbit, it was announced that he had worked diligently serving the monthly duty rotation alone continuously from the 8th month of that year, and he was granted a haori jacket in the lord's presence.
1. In the 5th month of the same 10th year, year of the Dragon, as requested, he was relieved of his current position and, as privately requested, was granted direct retirement. It was also announced that he had served diligently and well for many years.
1. On the 13th day of the 2nd month of Meiwa 5, year of the Rat, he died of illness at the age of 77. His posthumous Buddhist name was Kōjakuin-den Myōō Genken Koji. His burial place is the same as above.
