一同年十月  貞昭様日光 御名代無御滞被為  済候為御祝儀従  貞昭様綿五把被下置候事 一同年十一月  貞昭様御額/宣(直)被為御袖留候節御錯  子大小一組鯛一折御樽一荷差上候  御元服御錯子之役相勤綿五把被下  置同十二月右御役相勤候に付為御祝  儀  貞昭様於 御前御小袖壱重麻御上  下壱具被下置候事 一同年十二月見祢山 御社 御勧請  之惣司被 仰付無滞相勤御祭式之  儀彼是誠精尽以来之御式相居り  重キ御神式萬方御首尾無残所相整  御満悦被 思召依之御祝儀旁御羽織  一つ於 御前被下置御供番御使を以判  金弐枚御肴一折被下置候事 一同五丑年八月

現代語訳

一、同年十月、貞昭様が日光の御名代を滞りなく務められたことの御祝儀として、貞昭様から綿五把を下し置かれた件。 一、同年十一月、貞昭様が御元服で御直衣をお召しになられた節、御錯子として大小一組、鯛一折、御樽一荷を差し上げた。御元服の御錯子の役を相勤め、綿五把を下し置かれ、同十二月、右の御役を相勤めたことにより御祝儀として、貞昭様より御前において御小袖一重、麻の御上下一具を下し置かれた件。 一、同年十二月、見祢山御社の御勧請の惣司を仰せ付けられ、滞りなく相勤め、御祭式の儀をあれこれと誠に精を尽くし、従来の御式に相応じ、重要な御神式を万方首尾よく残すところなく相整え、御満悦と思し召され、これによる御祝儀として御羽織一つを御前において下し置かれ、御供番の御使をもって判金二枚、御肴一折を下し置かれた件。 一、同五年丑年八月

1. In the 10th month of the same year, as celebration for Lord Sadaaki having successfully completed his duties as representative (naidai) at Nikko without incident, Lord Sadaaki bestowed five bundles of cotton upon him. 1. In the 11th month of the same year, when Lord Sadaaki wore his court dress (naoshi) for his coming-of-age ceremony, he presented as "osaku-shi" (ceremonial assistant) a set of long and short swords, one box of sea bream, and one load of sake barrels. For serving in the role of osaku-shi for the coming-of-age ceremony, he was given five bundles of cotton, and in the 12th month of the same year, as celebration for performing this role, Lord Sadaaki bestowed upon him in his presence one layer of kosode (short-sleeved kimono) and one set of hemp formal wear. 1. In the 12th month of the same year, he was appointed as head supervisor (sōshi) for the enshrinement ceremony of Mineyama Shrine, which he carried out without incident. Having devoted himself wholeheartedly to the various aspects of the festival ceremony and arranging the important Shinto rituals in accordance with traditional practices, leaving nothing incomplete, his lord was greatly pleased. As celebration for this, he was given a haori jacket in his lord's presence, and through a retainer messenger, he received two pieces of gold and one box of delicacies. 1.
