現代語訳
貞昭様が家督相続の御礼を申し上げる際、江戸表へ参上し、公方様・大納言様へ御目見えを仰せ付けられ、公方様へは御太刀・銀馬代・巻物三つ、大納言様へは御太刀・銀馬代を献上した件。
一、同月、この度の御用につき、勤番の定日より早く参上したことにつき、御羽織一・御袷一・麻御上下一具を下し置かれ、御羽織は御前において下し置かれた件。
一、同月、先年御大老職を仰せ付けられた節、万事補助すべき旨を仰せ付け置かれた所、この度の御代替わりにて耳目も改まる時節であり、御年若の儀であるから、万事御補助を仰せ付けられる旨を御書付を以て仰せ出された件。
一、同年十一月、恭定様の御遺物として左の通り下し置かれた。

When Sadaaki-sama offered congratulations for his succession to family headship, he went up to Edo and was commanded to have an audience with the Shogun and the Dainagon. He presented the Shogun with a ceremonial sword, silver horse money, and three scrolls, and to the Dainagon he presented a ceremonial sword and silver horse money.
1. In the same month, regarding his early arrival before the scheduled duty service date for this official business, he was granted one haori, one awase (lined kimono), and one set of hemp kamishimo. The haori was bestowed in the lord's presence.

In the same month, whereas he had previously been appointed to assist in all matters when the position of Great Elder was conferred, now with the change of generation being a time when eyes and ears are refreshed, and considering his young age, it was proclaimed through a written directive that he should assist in all matters.
1. In the 11th month of the same year, the following items were granted as keepsakes from Kyotei-sama:
One dyed kosode, one white kosode
One noshi-me kosode, one cotton-lined haori
