願い、かつ新たに下し置かれ候御加増の儀に候わば、物成の儀は御控えも成されるべき所、御役料の内より御立て下し置かれ候儀に候えば、その儀に及ばれず旨を仰せ出され候事
一、同年四月、当時過分の御役料を頂戴し罷り在り候段、安んじ得ず罷り在り候儀、殊に御役料御加増を御直に下し置かれ候段、甚だ恐れ入り奉り、重き願い等をこの節申し上げ候も憚り候。この上成るべき儀御座候わば、御家老とも同様、願いの趣を御聞き済み成し下され候よう、再応願いの趣を御聴に達し候
処、
御先代様の御遺命の儀に候えば、聞し召し届け難き儀に候えども、再応願いの趣余儀無く思し召し、暫く御控え置かれ之旨を仰せ出され候事

his request, and regarding the new increase that was to be granted, if it were a new grant, the rice yield portion could be withheld, but since it is being established from within the stipend, there is no need for such measures, it was proclaimed.
1. In the fourth month of the same year, he expressed that he felt uneasy about receiving an excessive stipend at present, and particularly about being granted an increase in stipend directly. He was deeply grateful and humbled, and although it was presumptuous to make such weighty requests at this time, if there was anything that could be done, he repeatedly petitioned that his request be heard and approved in the same manner as the senior retainers.

since this was a dying wish of the previous lord, it would be difficult to grant his request, but considering his repeated petitions were unavoidable, it was proclaimed that it would be temporarily withheld.
