一、同月、不快の由が御聴きに及ばれ、当番内奥番を以て安否を御尋ね成し下され、人魚骨二粒、生鯉二尾を下し置かれ候事
一、同月、病中大細事の御用差し湊り候ては、病気も相障る儀に候間、快気まては御城会所ともに出席心次第に致し、重き御用は格別、左も無き儀は成るだけ相省き、心静かに保養致し候様、かつ御城中乗物御免成され候、悉く御門より中ノ口まで乗輿致すべき旨を仰せ出され候事

Three ara fish and three shō of Edo sake were bestowed.
1. In the same month, when word of his illness reached his lordship's ears, through the duty inner guards inquiries were made about his condition, and two pellets of dugong bone and two live carp were bestowed.

In the same month, [it was declared that] if official duties, both major and minor, were to accumulate during his illness, this would obstruct his recovery, so until he recovered, attendance at both the castle and meeting places should be at his discretion. For important duties there would be exceptions, but for matters of lesser importance he should omit as many as possible and maintain quiet convalescence. Furthermore, he was granted permission to use a palanquin within the castle grounds, and could ride in a palanquin from all gates to the inner entrance, as was announced.

In the intercalary sixth month of the same year, for his complete recovery from illness, two nights and three days of prayers were ordered at Mineyama Shrine before the spirit of Lord Hōshōin, protective amulets were bestowed, and fifteen pieces of dried bonito were given as meal provisions for his illness.
