処前年狐合壁罷成候間見分い
たし候へハ漆浮立松煙計之処
等有之永久之保必至と不相成
尤御場所柄御手厚ニ被遊可然哉之
旨懸存申上候へハ前々之通堅地

現代語訳
ところが前年狐合壁が破損してしまったので見分いたしたところ、漆が浮き立ち松煙ばかりのところ等があり、永久の保存は必至とは成り難く、もっとも御場所柄御手厚くなされるのが然るべきかという旨を考え存じ申し上げたところ、前々の通り堅地壁を直すよう仰せ付けられ、御人指を以て三月より同七月まで相勤め、滞りなく出来申した。
一 同七年卯年十月、御城内大工小屋一年立合いを仰せ付けられた。
一 同八年辰年十一月、御用屋敷新建の御普請につき立合いを仰せ付けられた。
一 同九年巳年閏七月、御用屋敷北の方御長屋新建替えを仰せ付けられたので、立入立合勤めを仰せ付けられた。
一 同年八月、御宝蔵御出来が寸志により宜しく出来たので、御内々に金二分を下し置かれた。

However, the previous year the fox-joint walls had deteriorated, so upon inspection, there were areas where the lacquer had lifted and only pine soot remained, making permanent preservation difficult to achieve. Considering that given the nature of this sacred location, it would be appropriate to treat it with great care, I reported my thoughts. I was then ordered to repair the hard plaster walls as before, and using the designated personnel, worked from the 3rd month to the 7th month of the same year, completing the work without delay.
