現代語訳
御城内御普請方立入立合の御用捨てを願い申し上げた所、来年御天守御葺替えにつき品々見込みの趣もある由もっともであり、学校御普請についてもこれまた見込みの筋もある由であるので、繁多ではあるけれども、これまでの通り相勤めるよう仰せ付けられた。
一 同十二申年閏四月、日新館御普請については、寸志で自身で業を仕りたい旨申し上げた所、奇特な義につき願いの通りとし、その筋と対談の上、御普請場へ出向くよう仰せ付けられ、御用の合間に寸志で出向いた。
一 同年十二月、御天守御普請の節、立合いに出精して相勤めたにつき、御褒美として金百疋を下し置かれた。
一 同月、江戸常詰めを仰せ付けられ、江戸扶持一人分を下し置かれ、糺方兼務、独礼を仰せ付けられた。
英語訳
He petitioned to be excused from supervising and overseeing construction work within the castle, but was told that since there would be various considerations for next year's re-roofing of the castle tower, and likewise there would be various considerations for the school construction, although it would be busy work, he should continue to serve as before.
One: In the intercalary 4th month of the 12th year of Kansei (1800), regarding the Nisshinkan construction, he petitioned to contribute his personal devotion to the work himself. Since this was deemed admirable, his request was granted, and after consultation with the appropriate officials, he was ordered to go to the construction site and did so during breaks from his official duties as a personal contribution.
One: In the 12th month of the same year, for his diligent service in overseeing the castle tower construction, he was granted 100 hiki of gold as a reward.
One: In the same month, he was appointed to permanent duty in Edo, granted one person's worth of Edo stipend, and appointed to concurrent duty in the investigation department with the rank of dokurei.
