切相勤候ニ付御酒湯為御祝儀

現代語訳
松寿院様が疱瘡にかかられ、至って難しい痘瘡に
入られ、池原長仙院殿へ薬を転じられ候処、御
効果も御座らず甚だ六ヶ敷い御様体で
御座候処、精を出し御薬を差し上げ御全快を
遊ばされ候につき、御羽織並びに銀子三枚を下し置かれ候
ただし御痘瘡中四十七日余り昼夜詰め
切って相勤め候につき、御酒湯のため御祝儀として
松寿院様より銀子二十枚、加賀染
二反、加賀守様より白銀十枚、白羽二重二
匹、加賀守様奥様より紅紗綾一巻

英語訳
Lord Shōjuin contracted smallpox, developing a very severe case.
Medicine was transferred to Lord Ikehara Chōsenin, but there was
no response and the condition became extremely serious.
However, through diligent application of medicine, complete recovery
was achieved, and as a result, a haori jacket and three pieces of silver were granted.
During the smallpox period of over forty-seven days, serving
continuously day and night, as celebration for recovery:
From Lord Shōjuin: twenty pieces of silver, two bolts of
Kaga-dyed fabric; from Lord Kaga-no-kami: ten pieces of white silver, two
bolts of white habutae silk; from the wife of Lord Kaga-no-kami: one roll of crimson silk gauze,
three pieces of white silver
From Lord Senmyōin: one crested kosode robe, five pieces of
white silver were granted
- Same year 6, Kinoe-uma year (1786), sixth month: Due to stored medicinal supplies,
summer robes were granted
- Same year, seventh month:
From Lord Shōjuin as mid-summer celebration gift: fifteen
pieces of silver were granted

During Lord Shundōin's serious illness, diligent medical treatment was applied
