右の登一郎の件について、文政十三年寅年十月に御抱入を仰せ付けられ、天保八年酉年九月十六日、松栄院様の御住居が急火により、御立退きの際に早速駆け付け、御先払い等で格別に骨折して勤務いたしましたことにより、右の御褒美として同年十二月十日に白銀二枚を下し置かれた旨、御書付をもって仰せ渡され拝領いたしました。同十年亥年六月十六日に山路弥左衛門手附の暦作測量御用出役を仰せ付けられ勤めている間、御扶持方として三人扶持を下し置かれた旨、御書付をもって仰せ渡され、当丑年まで御奉公十二ヶ年勤めた間に出役三ヶ年勤めました。
右の通りでございます。一体取締方よく御奉公を実体として勤め、働きもあり、御用にも相立つことができる者と存じます。このたび西丸表火之番に空きがある趣を承知いたしました。もし可能でございましたら、何卒右の明跡へ仰せ付けて下さいますようお願い申し上げます。私の件について、当御役を仰せ付けられてから日が浅くはございませんが、先役の美濃部八蔵からも度々お願いした旨申し送りもございますので申し上げます。もっとも山路弥左衛門からもお願いした由でございます。右の件について西丸御用番内藤駿河守殿へも申し上げ置きましたので、この段お願い申し上げます。以上

Regarding the aforementioned Toichiro: He was appointed to service in the tenth month of Bunsei 13 (1830), Year of the Tiger. On the 16th day of the ninth month of Tenpo 8 (1837), Year of the Rooster, when there was a sudden fire at the residence of Matsueiin-sama and she had to evacuate, he promptly rushed to assist and worked exceptionally hard with the advance clearing and other duties. For this meritorious service, he was awarded two pieces of silver on the 10th day of the twelfth month of the same year, as announced through an official document. On the 16th day of the sixth month of Tenpo 10 (1839), Year of the Boar, he was appointed as assistant to Yamaji Yazaemon for special calendar-making and surveying duties, and during his service in this role, he was granted a three-person stipend allowance as announced through an official document. He has served faithfully for twelve years until this Year of the Ox, including three years in the special duty role.
This is his record. Generally speaking, he conducts his official duties with good discipline and genuine dedication, demonstrates capability in his work, and can be relied upon for official business. I have learned that there is currently a vacancy in the fire watch at the Western Citadel. If it would be possible, I humbly request that he be appointed to fill this vacant position. Although it has not been very long since I was appointed to my current position, my predecessor Minobe Hachizo had also made repeated requests for this, which I have been informed of, so I am presenting this matter.
