疱瘡養生の法

無（む）形の神有てふれおかすなれは不浄（ふじやう）の事あれば
痘いろ変じくろくくぼみこすりやぶり血をながす
也たとへ難治にて壱 両人（りやうにん）は死し壱人は別条なきも
あれば信ずるにたらねど先は不浄をいみて害ある
まじき也わかき女（おんな）の《振り仮名：経水｜けいすい｜つきのさわり》有時又は鉄漿を以て歯（は）
を染（そめ）たる時は其 場（ば）へのぞむべからず不浄を行（おこのふ）べからず

現代語訳
【右丁】
○また木通の実を食べさせて非常に軽くなるという。
ある人の母が七十余歳で疱瘡が軽くすんだ。幼い時に山家にいて、この実を食べることが多かった。このように年月を経たのも、この効果によるものか、軽く済んで九十歳余に及んだと聞き伝えて、我が子に試してみた。市中では手に入れ難い故、尋ね求めて少しばかりを用いたところ、その効果があったと聞いている。
疱瘡養生の法

○疱瘡があやかるということがある。本来疫気には有形の神、無形の神があって触れ犯すものなので、不浄のことがあれば痘の色が変じて黒くくぼみ、こすり破って血を流すのである。たとえ難治で一両人は死し、一人は別条ないこともあれば信ずるに足らないが、まずは不浄を忌んで害があることはないだろう。若い女の月経がある時、または鉄漿で歯を染めた時は、その場へ近づくべきではない。不浄を行うべきではない。あやかる時は胡荽酒を寝所の四壁に吹きかけるべきである。
○疱瘡の痒みには乳香を布団の下で焚くべきである。

Originally, epidemic qi has both visible and invisible spirits that touch and affect people, so if there are impure things, the pox color changes, becomes black and sunken, gets scratched and torn, and bleeds. For example, even if it is difficult to treat and one or two people die while one person has no problems, it cannot be trusted, but first, avoiding impurity should cause no harm. When young women are menstruating or when they have blackened their teeth with iron solution, they should not approach that place. Impure acts should not be performed. When contamination occurs, coriander wine should be sprayed on the four walls of the bedroom.
