英語訳
【STRAWBERRY】
According to Supplemented Tashiki Hen Vine Plant Section:
Fukubonshi (Covered Bowl Child) Japanese name Kaufu-ri-ichigo, now examined as Kusa-ichigo (Grass Strawberry) Supplementary alternative names: Kei (Book of Poetry), Ketsubon (same), Saikoku-gusa (Illustrated Classic)
Hireuka (same), Taibakubo, Sautenkou, Uhoushi (Compendium)
According to Compendium of Materia Medica, berry types (cloudberry, apricot, raspberry, bramble, tree berry, mock strawberry) number about five varieties. Shizhen personally collected and examined them, finally obtaining accurate information. Many different theories from various schools are mostly unreliable. I say: although classified as five berry types by Shizhen, there are actually more than ten varieties. In China there may be five categories, which is puzzling. According to senior scholars' explanations, fukubon is the name for berry fruits.
Yamato Materia Medica records this plant as fukubon
In Chikinsho it is called kenkoshi, worth investigating
I record one variety of fukubonshi in photographs
This is based on the diagrams in Chikinsho
This plant follows Yamato Materia Medica
The diagram in Wakan Sansai Zue greatly differs, but the explanation matches

【YEW, KARA, DOG NUTMEG】
According to Yamato Materia Medica:
Ichii tree (Yew) Kara tree (Kirabo) Flowers are yellow-red, clustered like balls in one place, fruits are very small like thorns
According to Wakan Sansai Zue Fragrant Wood Section:
Kara tree (Kyaraboku, Otsuko) common name
Otsuko Ainu name
The indigenous people of Ezo Matsumae call it Otsuko. This tree has wood grain like aloes, so it is commonly called Kara tree.

Miscellaneous trees
It is said that scepters are made from yew trees from Mount Kurai in Hida Province. According to Wamyo-sho, saku wood can be made into scepters.

Scepter tree
According to Dr. Matsuoka Joun's Materia Medica Independent Opinion:
Abotsusam Bebegaya, Dog nutmeg (Inukaya)
Kara tree, also yew tree
In foreign language, this oil is called Horutokaruno oil, also called Asetona
According to Toyoda Yokei's Shabenjo-roku: Abotsusam Bebegaya, Inukaya
According to Wang's Detailed Annotations on Classified Garden: Abotsusam grows in Furin country, over one zhang tall, bark blue-white, leaves thin growing opposite in pairs resembling turnips, yellow seeds resembling black pepper in red color. When its branches are ground, the juice is like oil. Applied to scabies and ringworm, none fail to heal. This oil is extremely precious, worth a thousand gold pieces. Also appears in Curved Records Handbook. This is the Bebegaya tree of Goshu. Bebegaya, also called Dog-kaya, grows everywhere in the mountains. Mountain people extract oil for use by surgeons.
