食競〔しょくきょう〕に曰く：
倭俗に「韓伊知己（カライチゴ）」と称するものあり。
また「唐（トウ）伊知己（イチゴ）」と称するものありて、同種なり。
地錦抄に「黄苺（キイチゴ）」と称するもの、これなり。
癸未年姑洗月初十日、真写す

増補多識編蔓草類に曰く：
懸鈎子（けんこうし） 和名：今按ずるに「幾伊知古（キイチゴ）」
異名：山苺（サンボ）〔爾雅〕
増補異名：沿鈎子（えんこうし）〔日用〕、葥（せん）〔爾雅〕、
木苺〔郭璞〕、樹苺（じゅぼ）〔日華〕
和漢三才図会の按説に曰く：
木苺は蒲蔔（ほぼく）の葉に似て硬く、深い青色をしており、茎に刺がない。
李時珍が言う所のものは蛇苺（へびいちご）の茎葉である。
このもの（木苺）はまさにこれ〔キイチゴ〕に合致している。
大和本草には唐苺（トウイチゴ）とする、と言う。

According to Shokkyō:
In Japanese custom, there is one called "Kara-ichigo (韓伊知己, Korean raspberry)."
There is also one called "Tō-ichigo (唐伊知己, Chinese raspberry)," which is the same species.
What the Jikinsho calls "Ki-ichigo (黄苺, yellow raspberry)" is this very plant.

According to Zōho Tashikihen, Climbing Herb Category:
Kenkōshi (懸鈎子) Japanese name: Upon investigation, "Ki-ichigo (幾伊知古)"
Alternative name: Sanbo (山苺, mountain berry) [from Erya]
Additional alternative names: Enkōshi (沿鈎子) [from Nichiyō],
Sen (葥) [from Erya],
Moku-bō (木苺) [from Guo Pu],
Ju-bō (樹苺) [from Nichika]
According to the investigative commentary in Wakan Sansai Zue:
Moku-bō (木苺, wood raspberry) has leaves similar to those of bōboku (蒲蔔), which are hard and deep green in color, and its stems have no thorns.
What Li Shizhen describes corresponds to the stem and leaves of hebi-ichigo (蛇苺, snake strawberry / Duchesnea indica).
This plant (木苺) corresponds precisely to [Ki-ichigo].
The Yamato Honzō identifies it as Tō-ichigo (唐苺, Chinese raspberry).
