本草家に曰く：野决明（センダイハギ）
仙台萩
大和本草に曰く：
苜蓿（うまごやし）は、おそらく仙台萩であろうと言うが、これは誤りである。
地錦抄に曰く、苜蓿の図は（仙台萩とは）まったく別物であり、（仙台萩は）よく水辺の草に似ている。

金雀花（エニシダ） 〔なお〕考察の余地あり
大和本草にも、决明には二種あると云う。
一種はこれ（エニスタ）であろうか。决明（エニスタ）の二字はすなわち「ケツメイ」のことであり、これは別物である。决明（ケツメイ）をエニスタと記す書は少ない。和名類聚抄に和名「衣比須久佐（えびすくさ）」という名があるが、これは秋に花開く决明（ケツメイ）のことである。後の人々によって改めて考察・区別されるべきであろう。また考えてみると、「决明」という名を付けられているものは二種に限らず、非常に多い。この条では述べることが多岐にわたり、まとめることができない。
本草一家言に云く：
衛仁寸多（えにすた）の花は鷹瓜（レダマ）〔金雀花（キンシャクカ）〕に似ていると云う。
予（著者）曰く：
衛仁寸多と連珠（れんじゅ）は名が同じ類に属し、
花を見分けることは難しい。

The Yamato Honzō also states that there are two varieties of Juémíng.
One of these may be this plant (Enisuta). The two characters for Juémíng (Enisuta) refer to Ketsumei, which is a separate plant altogether. There are few texts that record Ketsumei as "Enisuta." In the Wamyō Ruijushō, there is a Japanese name "Ebisukusa," but this refers to the Ketsumei (Senna obtusifolia) that blooms in autumn. This matter should be further examined and distinguished by later scholars. Moreover, upon consideration, the number of plants given the name "Juémíng" is not limited to two varieties but is in fact very numerous. This entry has become too complex to summarize comprehensively.
According to Honzō Ikkagen:
It is said that the flower of Enisuita (Enishida) resembles that of Redama〔Jīnquèhuā (Common Broom / Genista)〕.
The author states:
Enisuta and Renju share the same classification by name,
and it is difficult to distinguish their flowers from one another.
