通草（アケビカズラ）
和名本草に云く、陶弘景の注に云く、
茎に細孔があり、両端が互いに通じている。
和名は「阿介比加都良（アケビカズラ）」
大和本草に云く
木通（アケビカズラ）
蔓草である。蔓は長く大きく、堅い。蔓が
すなわち木通である。葉と茎を通草
と言う。鞍馬の木の芽漬（キノメヅケ）は通草
である。

itself is mokutsu. The leaves and stem are called
tsūsō. The kinome-zuke (young shoot pickles) of Kurama
are made from tsūsō.
