一法事之事
心さし迄ニ軽く可致執行私宅ニ而いとなみ候共
料理等御定之品ニ可任事

香奠者忌を請候者并舅聟ハ心次第に仕其外ハ
無用之事
一奉加之事
前々より御停止候猶以奉加ニ似寄候事共等一切
取扱ひ致間敷事
右従先規被相定候御法令之通当時猶又相改被
仰出候重而御指図被 仰出候迄ハ此趣堅可相守候近年
御家中上下共ニ勝手困窮難儀之儀候得共御手
当も【？】 難被成時節ニ候間此旨能々致了簡御定之外
たる儀無之様可致候江戸に相詰候節者江戸ニての
被 仰出候間其通相守何とそ取続御奉公可相
勤候末々に至迄准之可申付候努〳〵疎略に存間
敷候此以後ハ目付中ゟ吟味可有之候条面々得其意
急度相守可申者也

一、法事の件について
心ざし程度に軽く執行すべきである。私宅で営む場合も、料理等はご定めの品に従うこと。
付け加えて
香典については、忌みを請う者および舅・聟は心次第とし、その他は無用とすること。
一、奉加の件について
以前より禁止されているが、なお一層奉加に類する事柄等は一切取り扱ってはならないこと。
右の通り、先規により定められた御法令の通り、当時なお改めて仰せ出されている。重ねて御指図を仰せ出されるまでは、この趣旨を堅く守るべきである。近年、御家中の上下ともに家計が困窮し難儀な状況であるが、御手当ても困難な時節であるから、この旨をよくよく理解し、ご定め以外のことがないようにすべきである。江戸に詰める際は江戸での仰せ出しに従い、その通り守って何とか継続して御奉公を勤めるべきである。末々に至るまで同様に申し付けるべきで、決して疎略に考えてはならない。今後は目付中より吟味があるので、面々がその意を得て、必ず守るべきものである。

Article 1: Regarding Buddhist memorial services
These should be conducted modestly, only as a gesture of sincerity. Even when held at private residences, meals and other provisions should conform to the prescribed standards.
Additionally:
Regarding monetary offerings for the deceased, those who formally request memorial services and fathers-in-law/sons-in-law may act at their discretion, but for all others such offerings are unnecessary.
Article 1: Regarding subscription donations
Previously prohibited, and furthermore, all matters resembling subscription donations should not be handled at all.
As stated above, in accordance with the laws established by previous regulations, these are being reaffirmed at this time. Until further instructions are issued, these provisions must be strictly observed. In recent years, both high and low-ranking members of the household have faced financial hardship and difficulties, but since providing financial assistance is also difficult in these times, this matter should be well understood, and nothing beyond the established regulations should be undertaken. When assigned to Edo duty, one should follow the directives issued in Edo, observe them accordingly, and somehow continue to serve faithfully. The same should be directed to all subordinates, and this must never be treated carelessly. Henceforth, there will be inspections by the supervisors, so everyone should understand this intent and strictly comply.
